Overwhelming Support for AIDS Walk Campaign

Response to our Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life donation campaign this year was outstanding. We are pleased to report that purchases of our products during the campaign period enabled us to give $68,000 to help Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. That’s $8,000 more than last year. Our Walk team raised close to $8,500 more. Another $6,800 was contributed to the Farha Foundation ÇA MARCHE in Quebec.

In each of the 5 years we have sponsored the AIDS Walk, one of our primary objectives has been to spread the word concerning the need to help Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. The support we received through social media amplified our efforts considerably. There can be no doubt that the actions of our community to share the message had great impact.

Ready, Set, Walk

In addition to our donation campaign, Team Santa Margherita has participated in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life for the past 4 years and raised even more money to support Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. Santa Margherita’s Walk Us Through This campaign in support of the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life is ending soon in some provinces. 50¢ from each sale of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio gets donated. Proceeds benefit Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. Please note the following dates.

Aug. 13 – Last day Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Aug. 14 – Last day Manitoba.
Aug. 14 – Starts in Saskatchewan.
Aug. 26 – Starts in Alberta.
Sept. 1 – Starts in British Columbia

Right now, during our Walk Us Through This campaign, when you choose Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, you choose more than a bottle of wine. You choose to support a cause that many have forgotten. You choose to support a cause lost in a rainbow of coloured ribbons. You choose to support up to 68,000 Canadians living with HIV/AIDS.

50¢ from each sale of our Pinot Grigio is being donated to the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life. Our Walk Us Through This Donation Program Starts Now!

The Santa Margherita Walk Us Through This campaign has begun. 50¢ from each sale of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio will be donated to the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life to support people living with HIV/AIDS.

Here are the dates by province:
Alta: Aug. 26 to Sept. 22
BC: Sept. 1 to 26
Man: July 18 to Aug. 14
NS: July 17 to Aug. 13
Ont: July 17 to Aug. 13
Sask: Aug. 14 to Sept. 10

In Quebec, 50¢ from each sale of our Pinot Grigio will be donated to the Farha Foundation’s ÇA MARCHE from July 17 to Aug. 13

2011 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life

In 2010 we received the Corporate Leadership Award from the Canadian Aids Society. It is an honour we are extremely proud of.

With leadership comes responsibility. You don’t stop leading. We received this recognition for our efforts to improve the lives of Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. This work is not complete. This disease still haunts us. In 2011 we return to lead with even greater vigour. We hope you will support us once again.

Bravo For Your Generosity

This past summer, Santa Margherita continued its support for the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life and ÇA MARCHE. We challenged ourselves to aim higher and we asked Canadians to “Help us help more.” and spread the word. The results speak to your efforts.

Our donation program this year was by far the most successful yet. At recent ceremonies, we were thrilled to present $66,000 to Canadian AIDS organizations supported by the Walk events. In total, our efforts this year raised over $82,000. We could not have done it without your help. The challenging lives of Canadians living with HIV/AIDS are better because of you. The chances of stopping the spread of this disease through education have improved because of you.

Our Walk Us Through This campaign has concluded for this year. But the war on HIV/AIDS is not over and we will return to join you in the fight against it.

Santa Margherita’s Walk Us Through This donation campaign to raise funds for the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life has come to an end for 2010. This year, we increased our effort to communicate the need to help Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. New channels were explored to spread the word. We created this website, a Santa Margherita Canada Facebook page and engaged our community for help on Twitter. You responded.

The kindness, compassion and generousity of Canadians are an example to the world. To every person who supported our program, most graciously, we thank you. Whether you chose our wine, donated to our team or shared our message, you have contributed to our most successful program to date.
